King of Gay Media Won’t Support Barack Obama

Paul Colichman, a gay media heavyweight, was going to financially contribute to Obama’s campaign, but backed out once Obama “threw the gay community under the bus”, describing marriage as a union between a man and a woman.
Colichman was a strong supporter of Hillary Clinton, but came around to Obama last week after getting over his disappointment that the New York senator did not get the nomination.

A massive crowd cheered on Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama as he delivered his acceptance speech at Invesco Field Thursday night and the cheers grew louder when he mentioned gay rights. Obama included his commitment to gay rights when he listed several contentious issues facing the American public, such as abortion and gun ownership.
“I know there are differences on same-sex marriage, but surely we can agree that our gay and lesbian brothers and sisters deserve to visit the person they love in the hospital and to live lives free of discrimination,” he said.
Schools demand contract for gay students
Gay students at four schools in Auckland have been stopped from taking same-sex partners to school balls until they sign contracts declaring that they are homosexual.
The Human Rights Commission is aware of school policies barring pupils who want to take same-sex partners, but forcing students to sign a contract could pass a legal threshold.
Serafin Dillon, Rainbow Youth education officer, declined to reveal the identity of schools involved, as she believed a “name and shame” campaign would only further ostracize the gay youth.
